China prohibited items

  5. Food or drugs harmful to humans or animals, especially from epidemic areas.

  6. Animals & animal products:

    • All living animals (except dogs and cats), sperm, embryos, and other genetic materials.

    • Meat, internal organs, marine animal products.

    • Dairy products not heat-treated (milk, yogurt, butter, cheese).

    • Eggs and egg products not heat-treated.

    • Fur, bones, horns, oils, fats, edible bird’s nests (except canned), transgenic biomaterials.

  7. Plants & plant products: fresh fruits, vegetables, seeds, sprouts, soil, organic cultivation mediums, tobacco leaves (excluding cut tobacco).

  8. Other quarantine items: animal/plant specimens, pathogens, injurious insects, human blood, and other banned materials.

  • Seeds, plants, grains, cereals, and tobaccos.

  • Fresh, cut, or dried flowers.

  • Vegetative samples, exhibits, or specimens.

  • Dried fruits and vegetables, frozen vegetables.

  • Bamboo, cane, wicker, grass, and wood products.

  • Pets (dogs or cats) with vaccination and quarantine certificates.

  • Licensed imported human blood, tissues, microorganisms, and other biological products.

✔️ A: Only one dog or cat is allowed per traveler. A valid rabies vaccination certificate and quarantine certificate are required. Pets undergo 30 days of isolation after arrival.

  • All items forbidden for entry.

  • Valuable cultural relics.

  • Mink coats: Allowed if made from farmed mink. Otter coats are prohibited.
